Let's talk about growth.

On the 15th of May, Tilastokeskus - Statistics Finland announced something that we’ve?been waiting to hear for a while:?Finland’s?Gross Domestic Product grew by 0,5% in the Q1 compared to the Q4 of 2023.

Moreover, the Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle declared in their latest article called?“Finland Exists Recession, Economists Say”?that since these figures suggest the Finnish economy has turned a GDP surplus for the first time since early last year, the leading Finnish economists can declare that the latest?"recession is over”.

In?April?we got great news about our Eduskunta | Riksdagen | Parliament of Finland /?Government's?plans to introduce tax incentives enabled by the European Union ’s?temporary crisis framework to support?large?industrial investments in the net-zero economy, such as clean energy, battery, and hydrogen projects, and fossil-free steel industry. On that note - Epicenter member company Blastr Green Steel ’s?project in Inkoo is proceeding with solid steps.

We at Epicenter decided to look at the future positively. Positively enough to take, in our measures, bold steps by expanding our business in Helsinki. When the opportunity?arrived?we decided to go ahead and?expand?from what now is a one-house Innovation Hub to a campus of three beautiful buildings with superb facilities to enable our members and customers to work, play, innovate, and grow their business. We decided to act now. We hope that the positive signals we are seeing will encourage entrepreneurs and companies on a large scale to take bold steps.?Growth can only be achieved?with bold measures.

Growth and innovation are at the heart of Epicenter?and?we?strongly?believe that we can bring our expertise further to help this positive trend in the GDP growth.
