Let's Talk about Franchising!

First question, what is a franchise?

A #franchise is when an established trademarked business offers their company’s name, business model and products/services through a franchise agreement. Franchisees usually receive support such as site selection, training, hiring, manuals and marketing. The franchisee usually pays an initial fee and continual royalty fee which allows them the rights to the business’s branding, protocols and support. This includes trademarked materials such as logos. Franchisees usually have the option to buy a single or multi units within a territory. The franchise agreement is typically between five to ten years long. Franchising is a way for a proven business model to grow and expand while allowing more people to become entrepreneurs. Many common companies are franchises including McDonalds, Subway, Jimmy Johns and Massage Envy.

Franchising Explained!

There are many terms and acronyms used in franchising. Some of the most common are FDD, FA and ADA. The FDD otherwise known as the Franchise Disclosure Document contains the legal information a franchisor must disclose to potential franchisees. This information may include fees, investment ranges and the relationship between franchisor and franchisee. Next is the FA or the Franchise Agreement, this is a legal binding contract between the franchisor and franchisee that details the franchise location/territory, support, royalty fee, marketing, etc. Last the ADA or the Area Development Agreement, this is when a franchisee buys a specific territory radius allowing only them to develop units within that area.

At FACE FOUNDRIé, we believe strongly in the franchise model because our goal is to bring accessible and approachable skin care to more people. With our proven business model and development team, we have taken the guesswork out of starting your own business.

How to franchise with FACE FOUNDRIé?

The first step is to do your research. In addition to researching FACE FOUNDRIé, it is important to understand the #beautyindustry and how it relates to your territory. Questions you want to ask: Are there similar concepts to FACE FOUNDRIé in my territory? Could the demographics support a FACE FOUNDRIé? What are the current esthetics services offered? Once you have an understanding of your territory and FACE FOUNDRIé, submit an inquiry on our website. From there we will be in touch to set-up a virtual call, this is where you can ask questions about FACE FOUNDRIé Franchising. After the call, we will send you the application and the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). Once you have had a chance to review, we will set-up a call with the Director of Franchise Sales. We believe to understand a franchise concept, you need to see and feel it. Potential franchisees will come to our headquarters in Minneapolis for Discovery Day. You will receive a service, go on a store tour of our three corporate locations and have ample time to ask questions. After you have had time to learn about the support system, training, and marketing that FACE FOUNDRIé has to offer - it is time to sign your Franchise Agreement. This makes you an official franchisee, and you become a part of our #community
