Let’s Talk About Courage...

What is courage? What does it mean to you? How does it feel??

I have been doing some research on courage and what I have found is very interesting.

First of all, I found that many people have different definitions for it. Many people agreed it has to do with the ability to control or deal with difficult situations, danger, pain, unpleasantries, fear, etc. I see courageous people as being those who are brave and can control or push through fear. Courageous people see difficulty as an opportunity and are willing to do whatever it takes to get what they want. Regardless of if it’s the popular decision or what everyone else is doing.?

With this, it’s important to keep in mind that courage can be both physical and moral. When I think of courage I think of it in both instances. Either way, when we think of someone as being courageous we have to consider how it really feels. I personally don't think it feels good because when performing a courageous act whether it be a physical or moral act, there is a feeling associated with it. Usually, that feeling is fear and last I checked, fear doesn’t feel good for anyone.?

I believe many people do not realize the courageous acts they have done and maybe even take their courage for granted. What I mean is everyone does something that is difficult or hard for them. For example, kids playing sports. Usually at some point kids do something embarrassing or get hurt during sports. Oftentimes most kids return to the sport to do it again and then they push through to adulthood. This is just one small example of acts of courage that we can’t afford to take for granted. Stick around to learn more about courage or get in touch to get involved. I can’t wait to hear from you!
