Introducing BlocHaus

Many of you will be familiar with my brand Harper and Gray which drives diversity and inclusion into the hiring process, and more recently I launched my second brand BlocHaus with my cofounder Scott Fulton

In launching our new brand, there have already been amusing questions, such as:

“Why are you setting up a Crypto business in this market!?”

Of course, those already in the space will be well aware that Blockchain is disrupting far more than Crypto - and those endless possibilities are one of the key reasons that we are so excited about this journey.

For those who are new to Blockchain…

It is perfectly logical to associate Blockchain with Crypto since it has fundamentally enabled it to function since its inception, but Blockchain is a vehicle for so much more than just this.

IBM created an incredible resource (accessible at the bottom of this article) which encapsulates the essence of Blockchain brilliantly:?

“Blockchain is a shared, immutable ledger that facilitates the process of recording transactions and tracking assets in a business network. An asset can be tangible (a house, car, cash, land) or intangible (intellectual property, patents, copyrights, branding). Virtually anything of value can be tracked and traded on a blockchain network, reducing risk and cutting costs for all involved.”

But, what does this mean?

Outside of Crypto, Blockchain has the capacity to touch every industry and disrupt it - and we’re seeing this unfold in real-time. Blockchain allows for greater trust, greater security, and ultimately is more efficient for businesses.?

This opens up countless possibilities for Blockchain - and it’s only the beginning.?

For example, let’s look at Blockchain and the Healthcare industry…

“A Blockchain network is used in the healthcare system to preserve and exchange patient data through hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, pharmacy firms, and physicians. Blockchain applications can accurately identify severe mistakes and even dangerous ones in the medical field. Thus, it can improve the performance, security, and transparency of sharing medical data in the healthcare system. This technology is helpful to medical institutions to gain insight and enhance the analysis of medical records.”?

This alone is transformative for both healthcare and life sciences, as Blockchain (quite literally) has the capacity to improve patient security, and save lives.?

The statistics about Blockchain are equally as impressive:

“The global blockchain market is projected to grow from USD $4.9 billion in 2021 to USD 67.4 billion by 2026, at a CAGR of? 68.4% during the forecast period.” - Research and Markets?

So, what does this mean for talent?

The industry is beginning to grow faster than there is talent available, and we’re going to need to find different ways to reskill individuals and help them find a path into the field. When the trajectory for Blockchain is this impressive, the demand for talent will continue to rise, which is where BlocHaus comes in.? Our research told us that there was a clear and obvious gap in the market for high-performance blockchain recruitment.?

Another example is DHL Serialization for Pharmaceutical safety which uses Blockchain to “to eliminate counterfeit drugs from the pharmaceutical supply chain”. Initiatives and projects like this cemented for us that Blockchain can be transformative, and do good.
