Let's Talk About Answers

"I started Minnie's Food Pantry 15 years ago with two cans of corn and my first and last month's rent. I had no idea how to run a successful food pantry, but I was determined to help people in need. I was passionate and relentless because I was once the person that needed a meal for my own family. Some people don't want to share their struggles, however, I believe it empowers me!

I reached out to the experts in the field, but they refused to help me. They told me that I didn't have the experience or the resources to succeed. One person even told me that they hated me because I was "stealing" their clients.

I was discouraged, but I didn't give up. I knew that I had to figure out how to do things myself. I started by reading and researching everything I could about food pantries.

Slowly but surely, I started to learn what I needed to know. I found a space for the food pantry, I got the necessary permits, and I started to collect donations. I was taking Action!

It wasn't easy. There were many times when I wanted to give up. But I kept going because I knew that I was making a difference in people's lives.

Today, Minnie's Food Pantry is a thriving organization. We provide food and we have a free community store that helps thousands of people every month. We have also become a resource for the community, offering educational programs and other services.

I am so proud of what we have accomplished. But I know that we could not have done it without the support of our community and an incredible executive team and staff. We have been helped by thousands of people of all walks of life, from those who have donated food and money to those who have volunteered their time.

I believe that the goal shouldn't be to have all the answers. The goal should be to have all the ability to find the answers when you need them. If you are determined and willing to work hard, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

I am living proof of that. I started Minnie's Food Pantry with nothing but two cans of corn and a dream. Today, we have served over 27 million meals and we have twelve locations around the world.

If you have a dream, don't give up on it. Keep learning, keep growing, and keep reaching out for help. If someone won't help you, dig deep and find the answers inside of you. It's ok to fail.... eventually you will succeed if you don't give up! You can do anything you set your mind to."

I hope this story inspires you to never give up on your dreams, no matter how difficult they may seem. I have 790 people that follow me on this newsletter, will you join them and share it with your friends?
