Let’s Stop Saying “I’m Gonna” and Start Saying “I Did”
by Kim Groshek
How many times have you heard someone say, “I’m gonna”? Or maybe you’ve caught yourself saying it—promising action, outlining grand plans, dreaming about tomorrow’s achievements. Here’s the truth: “I’m gonna” is one of my least favorite two-word combos. Why? Because it’s a placeholder for action that rarely happens.
You know what’s better than “I’m gonna”? Saying “I did.” Taking the leap, doing the work, and owning your accomplishments is where the magic lies. It’s not about making promises; it’s about delivering results.
Execution—that elusive step between ideas and success—is the vulnerability that holds so many people back. Everyone loves the idea of winning, but very few are willing to endure the practice, the grind, the daily decisions that build momentum. And that’s what separates dreamers from doers.
We’re standing on the cusp of a new year, and I’m declaring 2025 the Year of Action. This is the year we stop romanticizing what we’re “going to” do and start celebrating what we’ve accomplished. It’s time to take ownership of our goals and bring them to life.
Here’s how we do it:
Are you ready to transform your “I’m gonna” into “I did”? 2025 is your year to execute, to act, and to own your greatness. The trophies will come, but first, you’ve got to step onto the practice field. Who’s ready to take action and DO?
Let’s make this year the most dynamic, transformative one yet. Start now. And then, tell the world: “I did.”
