Let's start, and Let's meet at the Peak

Today's article is on Batohi's story, who aspired to visit the Peak. This mountain was near his house, and he saw it daily from his window. He has all sort of imaginations of the view from the Peak. To live his dreams, he wanted to be at the Peak.

One day Batohi decided to start his journey. As he reached foothills, he saw a traveller coming. The traveller was a giant & strong person. Batohi asked, "what it is like on the top and how do you reach there". The Traveller explained the path he followed and shared his experience and view from the top. Batohi thought this is a strong man, and it took him so much time, so I should find a better path. While Batohi was walking along the foothills, he crossed another traveller, lean and muscular. Batohi asked him the same thing. The second traveller also explained the path he took and shared his view. Batohi went on along the foothills, asking every traveller he met. They all told him the way they took, how the peak looks like, and what is the view from the top.

After hearing every narration, Batohi thought it's too challenging, and there is no point going to the Peak since he now knows everything about the Peak.

Everyone must make their journey to their Peak based on their strengths and weaknesses. The paths would be different. But the Peak is a feeling is a view that no one can describe in words. Those who take on the journey come across various experiences. Experiences that can deprive them of reaching the Peak. As the Peaks are the Goals and aspirations, so the experiences are deterrents on the journey.

  • Sensuous desires: (Desires to relax, taste, enjoy). E.g. a Restaurant with good food, wine on the way to trap the traveller long enough to stay or lose track.
  • Ill-Will: (Feelings towards unfavourable conditions/situations/annoyed). E.g. Rain starts suddenly, bumpy patch. No matter how much we dislike them, there are blockers, and they always will be.
  • Heaviness/ Dullness: (Feeling heavy, mentally dull, tired, give up). E.g. pain in the calf, Sleepiness, or the demotivation pulling down.
  • Restlessness: (hopping mind, unsettled mind). E.g. worries of the future, judging out the past. the long journey to peak tests the mind, and all the worries of being able to make up there.
  • Doubt/ Skeptical doubt: (Indecisiveness). E.g. Can I do this? Is this the right path? What will others say? What if this/that...? This the point when a complete disconnect happens with the goals & aspirations.

The above listed are nothing but are distractions. Firstly it's needed to align and structure life in a way to prevent these distractions from arising. If one cannot do that, then he needs to use techniques to remove them. These hindrances place a dark cloud on the mind; remember one thing, clouds clear after rain. So Let it RAIN.

Recognize the state of one's mind. Accept, Acknowledge and agree to the situation or person to be the way they are. Investigate one's condition and ask questions about the consequences of being in that state. Non-Identity Practice, why did he come here? He is not the body, he is not the emotion, and he is not the mind, it's just that he can see all three aspects of himself.

In the last, I'd say our lives are too unique to copy paths. To bring value to our life, we need to make our own path, and there are no words to view on the Peak. So see for your self.
