Let's start with D. H. Lawrence
From Sons and Lovers - Part I - The Early Married Life of the Morels.

Let's start with D. H. Lawrence

Hell Row was a block of thatched, bulging cottages that stood by the brookside on Greenhill Lane, There lived the colliers who worked in the little gin-pits two fields away. The brook ran under the alder-trees, scarcely soiled by these small mines, whose coal was drawn to the surface by donkeys that plodded wearily in a circle round a gin.

Did you ever read such magnificent writing? Lawrence just draws you right in, doesn't he? Don't you want to know more?

I encourage you to get a copy of this classic book and read the whole story (or read it again, if it be the case).

Pass this 10-second newsletter along to anyone you know who is short on time, but will enjoy a quick read (let's face it - we're all too busy for extended reads).

Great Dorothy! Sorry for the delayed response. I have been under the weather with a sinus infection.
