The style of architecture, I never knew existed. Even though it's one of the oldest types of architectural practices, only 2 or 3 articles have been written about it.
The decline of Hausa architecture can be attributed to several factors. One factor is the increasing urbanization of the region, which has led to the adoption of modern building materials and construction techniques. Additionally, the lack of maintenance of traditional buildings and the increasing cost of building materials have contributed to the decline.
Moreover, there has been a shift in the cultural values of the Hausa people, with many younger generations preferring modern architecture to traditional styles. This has led to a decline in the demand for traditional building styles and a loss of traditional building skills.
It is important to recognize and preserve the cultural significance of traditional architectural styles. Efforts to preserve and promote traditional architecture can help to ensure that these styles continue to be appreciated and passed down to future generations.
I look forward to more information on this intriguing art type. Hope we as a community celebrate traditional forms as to the modern ones.
