Let's be Smart, Responsible & Intelligent Citizen in 2020 #strongsrilanka

During this period in Sri Lanka, the most frequently discussed topic is the Presidential Election to be held on 16th November. If you go through all the social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter & Instagram, individuals are trying to defend their preferred candidate, backlashing political views, making fun of quotes stated by politicians. But no one is trying to spread useful insight on how can Srilankan citizens can share their thoughts on developing this great country.

This thought came to my mind while I was going through the flow of these political posts & this is my attempt to change the direction of looking at these from a different perspective. This may not change the mindset of the Sri Lankans over-night at least we can take baby steps to overcome and make Sri Lanka great.

We are blaming the politicians for ruining this country for the last 71 years. My view is it not only the politicians to blame I point the finger at the whole 21 million population in this country. We are not responsible citizens, we are not trying to change by ourselves while screaming out to change the political system in the country. While appreciating the cleanliness of another country we throw garbage on to the road, spit on the road after chewing betel leaf, bribing state officers to bypass the system. So how can we blame the politicians for not developing the country?

This is my first attempt to create a difference within our society. This may not be a comprehensive article. I will continue this series of articles to make a difference in the mindset of our people. Please join with me to continue and let's make Sri Lanka great
