Let's Skip To The Good Part
"If you can trust a person with a very small thing, you can also trust him with bigger things. And if you cannot trust a person with a very small thing, you cannot trust him with big things." Luke 16:10 EASY
It's easier to sit down and dream of how bright your future will be than to go through the process of making that dream a reality. We like to skip to the good part, in whatever way possible.
You realise that you're so gifted, you could be the next big thing. Even though that gift is not refined in any way, all you're concerned about is the glam.
When you get started and reality hits you, you look for the shortest way out. This is why it's so important to decide whether or not you're ready to put in the work.
Sustaining the benefits of your gifts requires you to become a different person from who you are now. It requires that you start on a transformation journey whose length you can't decipher.
This is the journey that the devil likes to hijack. He takes you on a different path to making your gifts valuable so you eventually still enjoy the benefits. But whom you become is questionable.
You've been blessed with more gifts than you realise. Your job is to take the one you know and show God you can be trusted with it. If not, you'll be trapped thinking that singular gift is your alpha and omega, when instead, God had a vault full of gifts he wanted to dish out on your transformstion journey.
Someone once said, "If gold is your goal, fire is your process". I don't know about you, but I don't want to go through the fire. It would be great to skip all that.
But I also want to enjoy the benefits of gold in the way God wants me to. For that to happen, I have to request that even as I pass through the fire, He'll be there.
With this, any decision I make may look weird to others, but I'm confident that with God, I'll skip to the good part by avoiding errors I have no business making. I hope you do the same.
