There is something that you should know about us. We love the Single Market!
So much so that we don’t miss a single opportunity to advocate for concrete solutions to save it (like here). Our Director-General Cecilia Bonefeld-Dahl drew a compelling parallel with a story of a 30-year marriage at an event organised by the 'Single Market 6' of business associations this week. The passion must naturally be rekindled after so much time taking things for granted.

? Detangling the regulatory spaghetti bowl: As we are entering the final trialogues for two landmark bills on AI and Cybersecurity, the regulatory overlap threatens economic growth. So, our DG Cecilia Bonefeld-Dahl wrote down what it needs to avoid overlapping regulation & streamline legislation:

Standards, Standards, nothing but Standards: Smart standards are essential, something we emphasised at the second meeting of the High-Level Forum on European Standardisation chaired by Commissioner Thierry Breton . That is why we‘re more than HAPPY to have reached two agreements on standards for Emerging Tech & supporting younger generations for standardisation careers (?? spot our own Standardisation intern Riccardo Fidato together with Thierry Breton:
