Welcome to the seventh edition of the Your Extraordinary Life newsletter.
This Summer Recap Edition is going to be a bumper 7 in 1, but before we get into that ...
THANK YOU for subscribing and being part of this journey together. We're so close to 1,000 subscribers, and in doing so continuing to build a great community of like-minded people who want to live their most Extraordinary Life! So, let's keep that up.
This newsletter is designed to help You navigate the thrills and spills of professional and personal life. In each issue you get:
Let's recap
As it's summer I thought it would be a good time to recap our journey so far, rather than pouring more new content whilst you sip a cocktail next to the pool. Why? Two reasons:
So, let's recap it all. I've even created some Exclusive playlists to make it even easier for you! Enjoy and let me know your favourite things we've covered so far.
Motivation Time
We've really fuelled the fires of motivation since we started.
From my favourite Motivational Videos of all time that help you become the Hero you've been searching for and to start living a Life Worth Remembering, to bringing Happiness to the here and now, creating more Certainty in your life, embracing the constant pursuit of Growth and recognising Patterns to get unstuck.
These are worth listening to over and over again. I certainly have, and they continue to hit hard. Really internalise the messages and how you can apply them to your day to day life.
To help you, I've created this Exclusive YouTube Playlist with these playing one after another. Save it, stick it on repeat in the car, on a run or whilst you work, and embrace the motivation to live your most Extraordinary Life.
Extraordinary Life Lessons
With 50 years on the clock, including my 7th chance at life ... I've learnt a thing or two!
It's, therefore, always a pleasure to share some of my Life Lessons. I'm passionate about making a difference through lived experienced, so what I share can really save you time, pain, and frustration. Embracing the principle of simple but powerful, we've already covered some incredible lessons, from observations on work stress, love, honesty, results, change and belief.
All worth bringing into your thinking and daily life.
For brief explanations of each, see the last 6 editions of the Your Extraordinary Life newsletter, but for quick reference here are Your Extraordinary Life Lessons so far ...
Frameworks
Frameworks are priceless. Whether they help you get predictable and sustainable results, or help you reflect, plan and take action.
So far I've shared six of the most powerful frameworks there are to change and improve your life! Literally, understanding and using these can give you the depth and consistency of results you're looking for.
People pay good money to learn these frameworks, but I've given them to you for free, plus detailed descriptions in each edition of the Your Extraordinary Life newsletter. PLUS, I've shared with you video trainings on each.
In fact I've created another Exclusive YouTube playlist with the trainings in, so you can save it and easily access them all. The only exception is the first framework, my 7 Steps to Improve Your Life - that can be found here in my Extraordinary Life Family.
So, whether you're looking to start a change or improvement, need to delve deep to uncover your non-negotiable Why, want to understand you and everyone around you better through the 6 Human Needs, feel it's time to do a review of your Wheel of Life, desire the key to Certainty from the 1%, or are looking to get unstuck with the help of the 3 P's ... you have it all right here.
Learn these frameworks. Internalise them. Apply them.
If repetition is the mother of skill, then frameworks are the mother of the improvement you need to live Your most Extraordinary Life.
Recommendations
Book Recommendations
Books are a great way to learn from the lived experience, insights and perspectives of others.
In fact, I've co-written six books ... which aren't even the six below (mental note to self: recommend your own books too Martin!).
So, what have I been recommending? Well, some of my favourites from other authors. Be that Arnold's fantastic book on the Seven Tools of Life, Jay Shetty's book to bring you closer to Love, Dean's story filled Underdog Advantage, the classic Who Moved My Cheese all about change, fear and certainty, Bob and John's world renowned The Go-Giver, and one of my favourite books of all time - The Alchemist. You'll have to wait until December for my other favourite book, but in the meantime, The Alchemist literally changed my life. It brought me closer to seeing the universal signs and lessons in our journey through life - something I'm now incredibly in tune with.
So, whether you enjoy hard copies or audio books, check out these great recommendations:
Additional Recommendations
On our journey together there have been some other opportunities shared. For some, the time has passed, for others they are still available. Two of these are worth sharing again.
Get Honest: Your first step to improve anything
This is my guest appearance in my dear friend Jill Brown's online community. As my 7 Steps to Improve your Life suggest, Get Honest is the first step. Jill and I bring this to life in a discussion that covers SO much! Clocking in at 1hr43m, we visit Finesville, Sucksville and Stucksville, whilst also sharing what I believe is the most dangerous thing about not being honest with yourself. Priceless experience and insights. Watch or listen to it here. Enjoy, and take plenty of notes!
100 Days: How to be Consistent
On 1st January I set myself a challenge. To complete rehab and exercise EVERY DAY. This stemmed from being in a car crash last year and really struggling with shoulder pain and mobility whilst facing considerable delays in treatment. So, I created my own programme and committed to getting stronger and more flexible on my own, instead of waiting and allowing things to get worse. It was a Big commitment.
When I hit 100 consecutive days, I recorded this video. I'd learnt SO much about turning intentions into routines into habits into non-negotiables ... I felt it was useful to share. Most people struggle with the consistency of doing the things they know they really ought to do. So this was me putting myself on the line and showing you the process and what's possible.
Watch it here, learn from it and reflect on what you need to be more consistent on.
PS: As I write this I'm on consecutive day 221! It's now just who I am and what I do.
