Let’s meet Felicitas Bodden !

Today we will have the pleasure of telling you more about our good colleague Felicitas Bodden - a passionate and enthusiastic member of our Team Finance & Accounting. Feli has been with us since the very beginning. She is one of the very first colleagues we onboarded at FRIDAY in 2017! Today, she will share some insights about her blooming six years journey at FRIDAY!

Without further ado, let's jump in, shall we?

FRIDAY: Hey, Feli! We hope you are doing well! So, could you tell us what you enjoyed most about your time at FRIDAY?

Feli: Oh, where do I even begin? I've been with FRIDAY since FRIDAY was an infant, and it's been such an incredible journey seeing it grow and evolve over the years. One of the things I love most about the company is how it's constantly developing. It may sound like a cliche. However, the people genuinely make FRIDAY special. My colleagues are unbelievably great, and working with such smart, professional, and technically competent specialists has been an absolute joy. The leadership is top-notch, always offering support and fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork. And, most importantly, no one is ever left hanging. You learn from your colleagues, and they learn from you. A constant exchange of knowledge and experience makes personal development and promotion a natural part of our culture.

And let me tell you, accounting and finance is not a dry job at FRIDAY.

There are always new challenges that keep things entertaining. Growing so much in recent years keeps us busy, especially in the Finance department. The more we grow, the more we need to develop our processes and more regulations & requirements, we must meet at the end of the day.

FRIDAY: Can you tell us what you're most proud of at the company?

Feli: I take great pride in being a part of the first fully digital insurance company, introducing innovative new products that changed the German market and shook the old, stiff insurance structure to its core. It's a feeling unlike any other being a part of such a groundbreaking company. And I must add that the company does everything in its power to support its members. I remember the old office days. On my first days, only a handful of colleagues came here to raise the company. It was a humble beginning; imagine, our first commercial was aired in November 2017, and there were colleagues from the office playing in the actual commercial!

FRIDAY: That sounds like quite the journey. Can you share a memorable moment you've had at the company? We know It might be hard to top this commercial one, but please give it a go!

Feli : Well, one year, we had an official kicker match sponsored by Baloise. We formed teams and had our kicker cup to determine which team would represent us at Switzerland's official cup in the Basler FC stadium. We had much fun practising and playing against each other; it was a great way to build connections.

FRIDAY: That's awesome! Did your team make it to the official cup?

Feli: We did! We made it all the way to the finals and got to play in the football stadium in Basel. It was an incredible experience, even though we didn't win.

FRIDAY: Ohhhh, the other team must have much luck then, but hey! It's not the destination that matters the most, and it's all about the journey! "

FRIDAY: Is there something that you would like to add at the end?

Feli : Perhaps, there are a few things I might add. However, I need to save something for another time!
