Let’s meet Bruno Martins!

In this edition of "Let's Meet", we will have the pleasure of introducing you to Bruno Martins . Joining the company in 2020 as a Product Designer, Bruno has since built his path to become the Head of Design. His journey showcases ambition, dedication, a drive for excellence and a prime example of an awesome career path at FRIDAY.

Can you tell us more about your role and how it all begins?

At FRIDAY, my journey has been an exciting mix of growth and development. I started as a Product Designer in July 2020 and had the opportunity back then to kick off the design of our first product for the French market.

As a Designer, I’ve been able to directly contribute and collaborate with various departments to craft comprehensive and user-friendly products that resonate with 100,000s of customers. This collaborative approach has not only enriched my design process but has also enabled us to create impactful experiences that meet the diverse needs of our user base.

Now as the Head of Design my mission is to lead a team of talented Designers and UX researchers. In this role, I am committed to encouraging innovation and excellence in every user experience we deliver to our customers.

What did you like most about FRIDAY?

What I appreciate most about FRIDAY is the vibrant collaboration among people. This feeling not only inspires me but also creates an environment where ideas spark and common goals are achieved.

Additionally, the opportunity to work with different departments adds depth and richness to my professional experience by allowing me to gain insights from various perspectives and contribute to diverse projects. Also, as a Designer the dynamic nature of my work keeps me engaged and energized, as each day presents new challenges and opportunities for creative problem-solving.

What are you proud of?

I’m proud of two significant achievements in my professional journey at FRIDAY. Firstly, being part of the launching team for our inaugural product in France was a pivotal moment. It required dedication, innovation, and teamwork to navigate the challenges and successfully introduce our products to a new market. Secondly, I take great pride in being a member of a collaborative, talented, and high-standard Design team. Working alongside such individuals not only fuels my creativity but also pushes me to continuously elevate my skills and contribute to our collective success.

Did you have a funny moment at FRIDAY you would like to share?

One particularly funny moment at FRIDAY was during our last summer party in Berlin. We had an unexpected opportunity to hit the waves and surf with colleagues. Picture this: a bunch of us, in a static wave, attempting balance on surfboards it was quite the sight! Despite some comical wipeouts and laughter, it was a nice bonding and fun activity that left us all with unforgettable memories.
