Let's Learn Linkedin

Let's Learn Linkedin

!!Dear connects and people who are yet to be one, for your kind attention!! In recent days I just realised how much LinkedIn have helped me in developing myself in a productive manner, how far it made me connect with people irrespective of their nationality and a lot more. So here I am, not to lead you but to guide you with things I learned in these few months. Let’s learn a lot about how to begin with LinkedIn fruitfully!!

The journey of me and LinkedIn started just because of MOHAN RAJAMANI . He is the one who introduced me to the app LinkedIn . And just because of people like Vivekkumar Ramakrishnan , Jaipoorani B R , Om Prakash I got to know the detailed stuff about the application and always my gratitude will deserve these people. A few may ask what qualities I have to speak about LinkedIn. Well, for them…

  • Invited as Facilitator.
  • Foreign Connects turning to be a family.
  • Business, HR, CEOs and many more people’s contacts.
  • Internship opportunities.
  • Clients for my freelancing.
  • A place to develop my skills.

And all these were possible just because of linkedin.

LinkedIn is the most productive application that ever existed on my mobile. Most of the time I was scrolling Instagram and other platforms just for my entertainment and never got to realise the importance of doing something useful. Thankfully I found the app at the end. To be honest I started to work on LinkedIn just to flex myself. But at the end of the day, people started praising me for small things. And that’s when it all started…..

Even things that we think that are silly, are a huge deal for many others. So understand your potential. I just got to know mine only after spotted and spitted out by people like MONICA SN , Archana B , Joshika Sundarakrishnan , Pradeesh M . It’s hard to find people who honestly appreciate like what I got. So what’s next? Let’s see a lot more do’s and don’ts about LinkedIn.

What should I post on LinkedIn?

Always make sure you are an active member of LinkedIn. Regularly post the kinds of stuff that you had or have been working on. Make sure the posts, that you have are useful both for you as well as for others. Certificates, Events conducted or participated in, and Meet-ups are usually posted by most of the active members. It’s not mandatory to follow the same. We can even post general kinds of stuff, workplace-related entertainment like ramkumarcomic . and a lot more that comes to your mind. But ensure your content is not a controversial subject. By posting and liking others' posts we can get updated on what's happening outside our circle and try to implement similar kinds of stuff.

With whom should I connect?

LinkedIn is nothing like Instagram or Facebook to expect privacy. Your expectation should be the content that you post must reach worldwide. I have personally noticed people accepting only known ones as their connections which doesn’t result in anything. So ensure that you have plenty of connects.

LinkedIn contains 3 different kinds of connections

  • 1st connect - the one where both follow each other
  • 2nd connect- the one who is having a mutual connection
  • 3rd connect- the one without any mutual connects

By following much of a 2nd connect you can have a trustworthy relationship and also the possibility of accepting your request is high.

LinkedIn is too sensitive in its algorithm. So it’s important to not confuse it. Following people who are related to your interests makes LinkedIn display much relative content. For example, if I want to be a business analyst it’s important to connect with much of business analyst people and pages and groups related to it. By that, I get to develop my network and also to develop my skills.

How to get an internship and job opportunities via LinkedIn..?

The best feature of LinkedIn is that it’s a Job-hub. By connecting with HRs of various companies and by following organization's official pages you get to know about regular updates on openings. Maximum apply for jobs which are posted within 24th. Always have a professional resume and a templated mail to be spontaneous in applying.

You can also directly text HRs by connecting with them to know about any opportunities. Premium subscribers are getting much more effective features which I will address in another article.

Now it’s just a beginner on how to start with LinkedIn. Let’s know a lot more about it in the upcoming articles !!
