In layman language, let’s understand what is Green Building.
When I have started my professional journey into Real Estate sector, that time Green Energy, Green Constructions words were not very popular as well as not in the demand too.
The world is moving towards greenways in all aspects of life. Man has recognized the urgency of the need to preserve the nature around him. In architecture, green and?sustainable building?construction is becoming popular day by the day. And then raises the question, what exactly is a green building?
A green building is that which tries to eliminate the negative impact it has on the?environment?and attempts to leave a positive impact on the same. Green buildings in India help in sustaining the depleting natural resources, simultaneously increasing the quality of life.
Eco-friendly buildings?that are energy efficient and use water management techniques are the need of the hour. Some developers including Shivalik Group have succeeded in creating such buildings.
There are major differences at all the stages when you are developing green buildings like starting from Design, Raw Materials, Objective, Wall System, Reinforcement, Maintenance, Trained Manpower, Machineries etc.
Before you read further, let me ask you something.
Have you visited any of or some of the below places? If yes, just take a pause and think, have you noticed any changes in the building structure, surroundings compare to other buildings?

Above all are classic examples of Green Buildings.?
The Green Building practice expands and complements the classical building design concerns of economy, utility, durability, and comfort.?
Let me clear hereby that, Sprawl is not sustainable.
Green builders are encouraged to build on previously developed land rather than developing new land. It’s also pivotal to build near existing infrastructure, such as bus routes, Residential colonies and libraries, to reduce residents’ dependence on transportation, since the effort that goes into building a green home is wasted if the occupants have to commute great distances every day.?
The smaller the building site the better since there’s less environmental footprint. Sites that have been sustainably landscaped and don’t suffer from soil erosion or light pollution are also considered more sustainable.
Water: Water reduction is built in by design, using low-flow toilets, greywater systems and xeriscaping. The focus is first on reducing the need for water (i.e. low-flow toilets) then on dealing with water once it has been used (i.e. greywater irrigation). Water collection methods such as rainwater harvesting are also central to sustainable building.
System: Processes that make use of clean energy such as geothermal and solar PV systems are also widely used in sustainable building.
Saving: Green building also refers to saving resources to the maximum extent, including energy saving, land saving, water saving, material saving, etc. During the whole life cycle of the building, protecting the environment and reducing pollution, providing people with healthy, comfortable and efficient use of space, and being in harmony with nature Buildings that live in harmony.
Green building technology focuses on low consumption, high efficiency, economy, environmental protection, integration and optimization.
