Do you feel like you don’t know how to manage your energy, don’t know how to focus to achieve your goals, or don’t know anything about your diet? We have some interesting and easy to follow answers for these questions.
How to keep your energy level up?
1. Eat clean!
What you eat is super important. Sometimes we don’t care because we don’t have time and we don’t know how to cook. Therefore, we don’t eat properly but you need to eat properly because your body is going to reflect what you eat.
2. Sleep enough!
People always say that “if I can manage to sleep 5 hours per day, I am going to be fine.” WRONG! You actually should sleep at least 7 to 8 hours and your body is going to be thankful about it.
3. Passion!
How to handle your passion? It is a question that a lot of people think we cannot answer. But we can! First, you need to find the first thing that drives you achieve things. You should find what is your passion, and what is not? Take the time to work at a coffee shop or places you feel like inspired and try to solve these three questions: What makes you happy? How do you see yourself in 10 years? How do you want to impact the world? With these three questions, you are going to realize the things that make the of most of you. Once you realize it, you can keep your energy because you know that at the end, you are working for a big goal, not just for the day today.
How to be healthier?
1. Have breakfast!
Do you manage to have breakfast the complete week? You need to force yourself to wake up early and have breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it is a kick-start your metabolism, helping you burn calories throughout the day. It also gives you the energy you need to get things done and helps you focus at work or at school.
2. Drink enough water!
Buy yourself a bottle of water. You need to drink from 6 to 8 glasses of water every day. Water helps to maximize physical performance, prevents and treats headaches. It is super easy to say yes just drinking water but in today's world we all are so busy with other things. Most of the time we forget about drinking water which is the simplest thing. And your body actually reflects it. Remind yourself every day to drink enough water.
3. Don't calculate your calories!
You don’t need to count your calories or check everything you eat, but you should make a plan of things that you should eat during the week, and things you should not. For example, many people love cookies and at the same time we all know that cookies are not healthy. You can make a deal with yourself saying that "okay I am going to eat from 1 to 3 weekly" which is still a lot though. Nevertheless, you can still eat what you want keep in mind to find the balance.
How to achieve life goals?
We need to reflect about what we are doing with our lives. It is super important that you take the time to question and reflect about your life so you can define your own terms to live it. As Vishen Lakhiani mentions in his book; The Code for an Extraordinary Mind:
“Have big goals but don’t tie your happiness to your goals. You must be happy before you gain them.”
This means that you need to enjoy the process of planning your life, as you enjoy to plan a trip. As the process of achieving your goals is going to be like a rollercoaster, you need to be ready for facing your frustrations. To start a new year, we usually do some resolutions. Most of the time very superficial and without a clear plan to be done. For example, lose X amount of weight and have a summer body but we don’t think about the day to day discipline and commitment that requires it.
Before the year is over, you should go through the Yearly Reflection Booklet from Hugo Pereira. This tool enables you to reflect on your last year, to understand your good and bad moments, set priorities and milestones.
This activity could take a complete day, but for sure you will realize a lot about yourself that will help you establish concrete goals and a plan to achieve it. With this type of reflection, you are going to be ready for job interviews as you will start applying to the right jobs with a clear purpose.
