Lets grow up. Together.

When I was kid, I wanted to grow up. I started observing grown up people. Started copying them. Thats what we all do. Isn't it ? At times we have even acted literally like grown up. 

 Now, when I reflect back, I wonder, what is this growing up mean ? Why did I want to grow up ? Why do kids want to grow up, and when they do, long for the childhood days ? what did I see in grown ups when I was a child, which made me want to grow up.

 There were few things that I longed for, as I didnt have them or it was limited. Money: we didn't have money, grown ups had. they can buy anything they want ( at least thats what, I thought )

Freedom: They seems to have the freedom, can go anywhere, watch any movie, etc.. Friends and acquaintance: They seems to have more friends, and knows many people. Work: They seems to do cool things in offices called Work. Knowledge: They seems to know lots of things ( at least few of them really did ) The body: By Size & Strength they are more capable.

This is perfect, as a child we were intelligent enough to figure out that the more we have these, more happier we will be. However no one taught us clearly how to grow in each of the above areas. some of us are lucky to get opportunity to grow in one or two areas. However in other areas we continued to act as grown ups. We all can figure out the difference between an Actor, acting as a Queen/King or president and A person who is really a Queen/King or a President. Unfortunately if we keep acting as a Queen/King ( or A Grown up ),  we do not become one.

Think about this. Would you like to go back to your childhood,

• Because you have 1000 times more money you have than what you had in your childhood, and it feels great to have no money.
• Because you are Big in size, and don't need help from others to take a book from the shelf, and it feels great to be dependent on someone.
• Can carry your own luggage when you travel, do your own stuffs independently, don't have to ask, take permission from anyone.

or Is it because

• You are unable to understand, why someone is acting in certain way.
• Don't know how to get someone do certain thing you wish them to do.
• Have less friends.
• Get less time to play.
• Don't feel happy all the time, and don't know why.
• Have lots of responsibilities, and don't know how to carry out.

I definitely would not want to go back to my childhood days without any money, freedom, into a small body, dependent on someone. Because Growing up is really cool. 

If one have really grown up, He/she will have

• More knowledge, and will have no problem understanding why people do, what they do ( or do not do, what they don't ).
• More skillful to carry on responsibility, yet have More time then ever to spend with More friends and family. 

Going back is neither possible, nor a solution. There is only one way. 

Grow up really ( and don't just act as grown ups )

I would repeat two things, that I mentioned earlier, which are worth repeating.

1. If we keep acting as a Queen/King ( or A Grown up ),  we do not become one. and
2. It feels really great to grow up.
