Happy Sunday. What would you think if I tell you that your business right now is operating at only 10% of its full potential? Surprised, right?
Whenever I have a meeting with one of my clients, there are specific questions I ask them to determine the capacity their business is operating at and each time, whenever I tell them that there is more they could do to dominate their market space, they are shocked.
If I am to ask you right now;
- Does your business have dedicated Sales People in Place who are actively selling your products or services in the marketplace?
- Do you have a Sales and Marketing Strategy and Policy to ensure the success of your Sales and Marketing People?
- Do you have an Operational Policy to determine that the people you sell to get their products/services on schedule and on time?
- How many calls do you or your team make to a prospective customer before giving up on the Sale?
Your answers to these 4 Questions often determines the operational capacity of your business.
We have dealt with a lot of entrepreneurs and one of the thing that shocks me is how many of them are operating without a Sales and Marketing Department in place.
Often times I have seen entrepreneurs move around with 3 mobile phones and being so busy doing everything from Customer Service to Approving Customer Orders.
Our company, M&J, generates over 50 new leads a day and deals with over 500 customers but personally, my phone does not ring more than 5 times a day.
The reason why this is so is that I have build Marketing, Sales and Operations Teams and have empowered them with systems that help them stay efficient.
I am able to go for a weekend or sleep for a night knowing that my business is still going to make money even without my direct involvement.
