Let's Go! - How I Doubled My Conversions With One Simple Change

What I love about website design is that all questions have the same answer.?

Test.

Does adding video to your site increase conversions?

Test it.

Should you change the format of your blog from a two-column to a single-column design?

Test it.

Should I change the design of my hero section from an image to an SVG animation?

You know that answer now!

Test.

So, with that in mind, I'm continually running tests on my own website, trying to find little changes that will make big differences in how users interact with my website.

Recently, I found one.

I was noticing that the phrase 'Let's go!' was used much more commonly among young people as a cheer or phrase of affirmation.?

I also noticed that one of my favorite iPhone games has its CTA (call to action) button phrase as 'Let's Go!' rather than the usual 'Click Here'

So, I thought that might be a good idea to test that on my own website.

Previously, my main Call To Action button on my website was 'Get Started'

I ran a test using one of my favorite FREE tools,?Google Optimize?and changed the call to action to 'Let's Go!'

And here's what happened.

I increased my conversions by an astounding 500%

With almost 1,000 unique visits, my conversion rate went from 0.64% to 3.37%

That's a pretty significant change for such a subtle change in text.

I'm now texting this change across the other pages of my site and if it holds up I'll implement it for all of my CTAs moving forward.

I've also got some other interesting tests running at the moment which have some surprising results and I'll share those with you soon.
