Let's Get Small: Re-cap of Nano Influencers

Let's face it. LinkedIn is a way under utilized medium. But there are some exceptions.

Over the last couple of weeks I have been featuring "nano influencers" from my network who I pointed out as "simply doing it right".

I didn't announce it to anyone I featured because I was worried it would come off as just another pitch and, if there's one thing we don't need more of on LinkedIn, it is the unsolicited pitch.

I just posted with zero permissions. You know what happened?

My impressions started a steady climb. Some interesting people started reaching out to me. The lesson I have already learned is I get a lot more gain overall talking about other people rather than about myself.

There was no strategy in who I chose, it was just a series of hunches. There was something different about they way they positioned their business or expertise.

While I just picked people I liked and I realized that, while there was no strategy, it was not a random selection: they all had the ability to communicate on LinkedIn and made you feel like you were talking to a real person.

In all cases I was just picking a couple of features from a variety of talents they have. I have already pointed out why I selected them in previous posts so check out these folks and make up your own mind about how they could be showing by example how to begin to utilize some of tools of LinkedIn and social media.
