Megan Carlson Kladakis is our Senior Director of Customer Success in sunny Tampa, Florida. We sat down with Meg to learn more about her background, passions, inspirations, and what motivates her in her role at Harness.
How many years have you worked at Harness?
I’ve been at Harness for five years.
How many years of related industry experience do you have?
I’ve worked with nonprofits in customer service/success & customer-facing roles for 15 years.
Where have you had the opportunity to work in the past?
I’ve worked with World Vision International, Feeding Tampa Bay, Children's Home Network, and Addiction & Recovery Advocates. World Vision International was where it all started—my “big risk” career jump that launched me into a love of fundraising and the world of serving nonprofits professionally. Hands down one of the best choices I’ve ever made in my life!

What content is inspiring you professionally right now? What about a person that you look to for inspiration?
I'm a huge fan of Rachel Provan and Markus Rentsch for their industry expertise, simplified approach to solving complex problems, and candor (the memes crush it every time). I also deeply admire my pastor's humble leadership and people-first approach to work and life.?
Is there a particular nonprofit or cause that stands out to you?
I have to choose one?! Oof! I really enjoy supporting nonprofits that are solving the root problems of big issues like sustainability. However, as a former Disaster Action Team volunteer with the Red Cross, being a first responder to someone who just lost everything and providing for their immediate short-term needs has incredible power. It’s been one of my most rewarding experiences.?
What’s the number one reason why you love working at Harness?
My life’s ambition is to be "living giving”—to have generosity and doing good baked into every decision, investment, and aspect of my life. Spending the majority of my personal time and professional career partnering with and fundraising for nonprofits has shown me that nonprofits have significant needs. Harness gives me the opportunity to leverage my skills and passions to impact thousands of nonprofits. I engage daily with amazing, selfless, and inspiring nonprofit leaders who remind me there's always good in the world and it's always worth fighting for.
