Lets End Black History Month With Purpose!
Thank you for Black History Month (BHM) '22. I hope we'll continue to reflect on the wonderful collaborations forged, the inspirational stories heard and the life-changing lessons learned.
I also hope for us to pivot as we begin the month of March; and view it not as the end of BHM, but as the beginning of "Black History Year". A history where the color of one's skin doesn't stop a qualified mother from becoming a CEO, or a qualified father from becoming a partner of a prestigious firm. A history where a young son is no longer a target, or a young daughter is no longer penalized for her strength.
When this becomes our reality, we will be celebrating Black History Month AND our history as brothers and sisters who joined TOGETHER to change the world... eliminating the social and economical injustices many have faced and are facing because of their differences.
We must take the powerful messages and work done over the last 28 days as a Call to Action for the next 11 months. So when February 01, 2023 comes, we can take pride in knowing that we made "Real Change" happen. Stay "Lock'd In"!
