I have got 99 literature ideas??, Content Creation is what i do with them!
" Babumoshai, zindagi badi honi chahiye, lambi nahi!"
This beautiful line i belive will be forever everyone's favouraite line of the masterpiece movie Anand starring superstar Rajesh Khanna. So, why am i talking about this bollywood reference today in my newsletter post?
Well, i stumbled upon yet another interesting Literature link which beautifully fits in this reference, so let's just dive in to see what it is!
If we go back to the Greek period in literature, the Romans gave various philosophies as to how to live one's life. One such philosophy was , " Epicureanism" this philosophy helped the great Greek poet Horace to give the famous expression of, " Carp Diem" which translates to, " pluck or pick the day, seize the day".
So the Greek poet Horace taught people to live the present day, without worrying about the past or the future, this pretty much fits the famous Rajesh Khanna's dialogues in Anand movie, " Mai marne se pehle marna nahi chahta"
It seems that Bollywood took some serious inspirations from Literature!
But if we see it in the light of philosophy , this idea has been hatched or rather been taught to people not today but way back from the greek times. So i belive , Zoya Aktar was not the first to say that, " Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" Horace has already said that!
