How do you sharpen your eye for fashion? What resources do you use to stay on top of trends?

• TRENDZOOM: another UK-based?service for detailed fashion forecasting (trendzoom.com)
• Fashion Snoops: a New York-based resource for consumer insights and trend forecasting (www.fashionsnoops.com)
• TREND COUNCIL: a trend-forecasting service for fashion brands, designers, and retailers, offering insights into markets, silhouettes, colors, and textiles.

Of course, no resource will make a difference unless you immerse yourself in the details of its analyses and reports. And even then you'll encounter skeptics; those who'll say you have no eye for fashion. (Indeed, if Estelle Costanza can have her exquisite taste impugned, who among us is safe?)

Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder. But fashion is in the eyes of those who set the trends, and those who do the work required to stay on top of them.
