Let's Crack The Code! Is Becoming a Creative Entrepreneur Worthwhile? - Akeelia Thompson

Occasionally in the digital world, we come across a variety of strategies that one can employ to become a social media sensation or business expert.

Are these claims or thought processes plausible? We can consider these strategies. However, the reality is that not everyone is suited for entrepreneurship, and some individuals excel in the corporate realm with ease. You may find yourself at a critical point in your journey where you need a little nudge in the right direction. Let's evaluate the opportunities and limitations together.

- IT'S A RISK! Even though we may see glamorous photoshoots with captions like "Look at where I'm working from today!", during the initial stages of creative entrepreneurship, the backend process can be tedious, and slow growth may occur, along with concerns about paying bills and meeting payroll obligations. The truth is, sometimes you're better off at your 9-5 job.

With persistence, good work ethics and transfer of knowledge from previous experience, the process can be rewarding.

- REMOVING THE BAR To increase your earning potential, you can offer a range of services and take on multiple contracts based on your area of expertise and qualifications. This can also help you tap into new demand and boost your income. Ultimately, all of these efforts can work in your favor and improve your bottom line.

- IN THE BEGINNING Creative Entrepreneurship scripture 101: In the beginning, you are everything to your business. Sure, you'll have to perform multiple roles to bring your business before onboarding the dream team.

- ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS Minding your business can serve as an accelerator program to achieving your goals.

- CONTROL YOUR TIME Effective strategies and systems can improve workflow and outcomes over time.

- BIG INVESTMENT Yes, sometimes you'll get it WRONG! For your business to grow, you need to invest in it. One advantage of being in a corporate environment is that you can learn about various systems and market trends that can help improve profitability.

- NO SUPPORT! NO PROFIT! Do you have the mental strength to persevere through tough times? It takes discipline and fortitude to keep going, but tomorrow is a new day.

- FINANCIAL SUPPORT Your family member didn't support you, but the bank will. There are various funding assistance programs available to help your business reach the next level, provided that it meets the program's requirements.

- GLOBAL IMPACT You can take your brand and business to the world. Where we find ourselves today is a result of the actions we have taken, as well as those we have failed to take. I don't agree with the notion that the graveyard is the richest place on earth, especially when we have brilliant minds with the potential to break world records and achieve great things.
