Let's Connect

Within golf, many initiatives want to support the golfer during the game, simplify course management, and ensure that as many rounds as possible are played daily. The problem is that everyone sees data as the store of value and does not want to share it, the well-known saying is that DATA IS KING. It is important to start seeing the service as a guiding principle to share data and add real value for golfers, golf courses and hardware manufacturers.

QCaddy PULSE

QCaddy International launched a multidirectional platform believing that service should be at the forefront! Every stakeholder in golf can contribute data, and determine who can access it and with what rights. In this newsletter edition, we are thrilled to provide examples of how QCaddy PULSE can add immense value to all parties! Let's dive in and explore some of the exciting possibilities.

  • Scoring app data for course maintenance

So many amazing digital options are available for golfers to record their strokes! Each stroke is accompanied by a wealth of data, including the golf club used and weather conditions, all stored unseen. This makes the app incredibly valuable for golfers, to make better choices based on their performance in future rounds.

However, we must remember that this data alone is insufficient to support golf courses in maintenance, as it is limited to the app's shell. As the golfer inputs data, the app manages and stores it! However, the app only becomes useful for analysis when all golfers on the course use it, as the generated heatmap will show incomplete data.

If the data is routed through QCaddy PULSE, the golfer remains in control of the data and can decide whether it benefits the golf course. Exciting news! The golf course is now completely independent from the app. Plus, all the data on the golf course can be effortlessly requested from the golfers playing on the course.

  • Simulator game with different brands

The options for playing indoors or having a fun evening at the driving range are growing. The technology is getting better and the range is growing every day. However, growth is limited by a lack of understanding. Each player on a simulator or driving range remains encapsulated within the manufacturer's circle.

By standardizing the data and importing it from the same sources, new possibilities arise. For example, playing brand-independent matches against each other becomes possible, where the external factors are similar. Think of the current weather conditions or even the height of the grass that determines the bounce of the golf ball. Not only does this greatly expand the market, but it also encourages innovation.

  • Holistic plan to boost hospitality

In this last example, we look for extremes beyond possible barriers. The intention is to show potential.

As a golfer, it is nice to be able to play anywhere, including during a holiday. But the barriers one has to cross make it a bridge too far for many. With the centralisation of data, many opportunities arise that remove these barriers, by initiating new initiatives.

Soon, it will be possible to view golf courses near the destination during your flight. Information on the different holes and available start times will be readily available. It is even possible to book and pay for a start time and, in doing so, easily reserve a golf set equal to your own. If you have played on the course before, you can see the dates of previously played rounds on the interactive map. Even before boarding, golfers can play on simulators in the lounge, which simulate the golf course of their choice.

Upon arrival in the hotel room or resort suite, even more information becomes available on the smart TV. Short videos will give you hints and tips from the local golf pro based on your profile and it is possible to quickly order an umbrella or extra balls, which will be waiting for you beforehand.

While playing, you will be guided by the QDisplay, an interactive tee sign, allowing you to enjoy the game to the fullest and thus improve your performance. At the end of the round, the champagne is already ready and you can watch all the information from the game back in your hotel room on the smart TV.

Not completely satisfied with your scores after all? Then at home, you can load the game data into the simulator, enabling you to play the round again under the same conditions.

Some individuals may suggest that their product can provide this information to all parties involved! Out of concern for losing market share? We understand that data only becomes truly valuable when diversity is present. And that's why we're so excited to merge various initiatives!

Vigilant

While data sharing has many benefits, it's important to address privacy, security, and ethical concerns to ensure the responsible and respectful use of shared information. With QCaddy PULSE, the data supplier retains ownership and complete control! This ensures tools for complete privacy.
