Celebrating our wins as business owners is so important.
It's too easy to get bogged down in the negative stuff. To be hard on ourselves for what's not going as well as we'd like.
But the thing is, you get back what you put out to the world. So by focussing on the bad things you're attracting that right back to you.
Instead, if we show gratitude for the good stuff. Truly recognise when things go well, really feel that success and gratitude, we're tee'ing ourselves up for more.
So right here, right now, let's celebrate our proudest moments. No matter how big or small.
Mine was around 9 years ago when I was running my digital marketing agency, Red Cube Marketing, which was my first business.
I launched Red Cube just after Twitter hit the scene and Twitter really made me sit up and take notice of social media and how it should be used for marketing. I was excited about this new digital world and all the possibilities it offered.
So I set to work understanding everything about it, and the die hards Facebook and LinkedIn. Soon after I decided to specialise in social media marketing and became known for it.
After about a year of getting some awesome results, I was nominated for an Entrepreneur Of The Year Award, because of my social media focus. I was thrilled!
At the awards ceremony (which was held at Wembley, and yes I had a photo with the cup) I really didn't expect to win, there were some awesome entrepreneurs up for the award.
But to my delight, I WON!!
I've achieved so much more since then, but that moment, the moment they called my name. THAT was my proudest business moment.

8 年Great post Gemma. A proud moment for me was being shortlisted for Best Growth Strategy at the Associations Congress in 2014. It may sound strange but it made me take notice of myself. I started to think that I had something that could be useful to others. From there, each small success has been a domino toppling onto the next and now I'm in business as a trainer and coach. Thanks for your post, a good reminder that every success however small, is a step towards the next.
