Let's Celebrate Ombuds Day Around the World!

I became Ombud, Mental Health and Employee Well-Being Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada in order to support everyone towards a healthy and productive workplace, ensuring everyone, employees and managers, have a safe space to discuss any issues in the workplace.

Over the last 4 years, we have met hundreds of employees and helped solve issues through informal mechanisms. We are also part of the solution: not only do we draft annual reports with recommendations, but we also implement our own initiatives, including the Canadian Innovation Centre for Mental Health in the Workplace at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada. We also equipped Managers through formal training with the Workplace Mental Health Leadership Certification Program... And now working on some new innovative ideas we hope to launch in coming months.
