Let Us Rejoice - Meryl Reflects the Progressive Voice that must not be Silenced!

Moments come in all of our lives when we speak truth to power. We say the things that must be said and we take back what America is all about - decency, respect and dignity. Meryl Streep in a few lines in her speech reminds us of the importance of standing for our principles as a nation and as human beings. It was poignant and riveting.

As we enter a period when all of these values are being called into question, it is a reminder that each of us must speak truth to power. The implications of being silent may not hurt in the immediate future, but could be devastating to our children, our grandchildren and those that come after them.

Thanks Meryl for the eloquence and courage to remind us again. The fight for justice, respect and freedom is not over, it continues as it has over the decades from which it began.
