LET US PREPARE OURSELVES FOR EMERGING CUT THROAT GLOBAL COMPETITION IN DAIRY BUSINESS

Dear Professional friends/ associates

On behalf our Mission I would like to make a humble appeal to all of you as prudent dairy professionals now working as C.E.O./M.D./General Managers of dairy plants in cooperative/private sector or multinational companies operating in India to carry out deep probe and find out the reason as to why we are not in position to procure 100% pure buffalo/cow/mixed raw milk strictly conforming to international quality requirements relating to purity of contents, microbiological safety and shelf life. Incidentally unlike western dairy countries , our Mission could not find any dairy plant in India producing pasteurized milk having shelf life of two/ three weeks (under refrigeration) and microbiologically safe even without boiling before consumption.

Our Mission with professional support of our associates conducted many training programs In India during the last few decades and also provided successful live demonstration at two B.M.C. routes of cooperative dairy plant in north India to prove that 100% pure raw milk can be procured (without dilution with added water or manipulation in S.N.F.: Fat ratio). Pasteurized buffalo whole milk was produced with that raw milk (without adding skimmed milk powder or additional butter fat) having a shelf life of two weeks (under refrigeration).

Due to age old unresolved problem of purchasing mixed milk (buffalo milk + cow milk) based on specified bench mark price for standard buffalo milk using 60:40 two axis formulae and releasing milk payments to suppliers without digital hydro analysis of raw mixed milk for exact % of B.M., C.M. and added water results in undetected hidden loss (about 20% cost of raw milk) to almost every dairy plant .

There is unseen tug of war between milk sellers and purchasers to cheat each other by diluting mixed milk with added water and manipulating S.N.F. ?: Fat ratio in raw mixed milk in such a way that about 20 % added water can easily be converted as additional cow milk in mixed milk. ?Hidden loss on this account can only be detected by digital hydro analysis of mixed milk actually being received on dairy dock of milk plant. Our Mission associate M/S Improvement Innovations Unlimited Inc. Canada has developed digital dairy business management software (available as free download facility on our website https://www.apnidairy.com. This software can analyse buffalo milk, cow milk or mixed milk (pure/diluted/manipulated) with accuracy up to decimal points provided weight of milk, fat % and S.N.F. % is measured with N.P.L. calibrated instruments while receiving raw milk on dairy dock and its cross examination with manipulated milk billing records.

We can easily convince producer members of milk cooperative societies or milk suppliers to supply only pure milk by ensuring accurate testing of fat/S.N.F. during each milk purchase transaction between milk producers and dairy plants, simultaneously increasing basic milk purchase rate in direct proportion to compensate dilution with added water /manipulation now causing hidden loss on this account to almost every dairy plant in India. We all know that natural spring water/ R.O. water is selling @ the rates much higher than per litre purchase rate of cow milk actually reaching milk producers in our country so water being used for dilution is neither chemically pure nor microbiologically safe for human consumption. It is extremely difficult rather impossible for any dairy expert to purify such raw milk and produce dairy products strictly conforming to international quality specifications.

Dairy industry of India could survive and face emerging cut throat global competition only if we procure 100% pure raw milk on commercial scale and produce pasteurized/U.H.T. milk / value added dairy foods strictly conforming to international quality requirements.
