Let Them Call You Crazy
If they thought calling me crazy would slow me down, they didn't know the real me. I had the big idea to build a modern law firm that served small businesses with the tools and resources they needed to be compliant, and that was accessible and affordable. A few people believed in me, but others called me crazy to my face and behind my back. It hurt at times, but I stayed the course.
Big ideas are often hard for others to believe because they challenge the status quo and require a shift in how people think about a particular problem or issue. Many people are comfortable with how things are and resist change, even when it could lead to progress and innovation. Most people are unwilling to invest time, resources, and effort to implement their own ideas, and their doubt truly reflects their insecurities.
People doubted whether I could follow through on my idea or had the necessary skills and knowledge to execute it successfully. But when the podcast, articles, and opportunities started to roll in, they suddenly began to believe. Big ideas are risky, which can make others uncomfortable or skeptical. Taking risks can be scary and uncertain, and people may doubt whether the potential benefits of the idea are worth the potential risks and failures.
Your big idea may challenge deeply held beliefs and assumptions, which can be difficult for people to let go of. If you feel the pressure to prove yourself or to quit, I challenge you to pursue your big idea and advocate for it, as it can lead to significant progress and positive societal change. Stay focused, persistent, and open to the evolution of your idea as your big idea evolves from a dream to reality.
Community input: What advice would you give to someone pursuing a big idea that others think is crazy, and how can they stay focused and committed to their vision despite resistance or skepticism from others?

1 年I'm in the same situation right now. I have a wonderful idea and I know it can work for everyone but getting the right people behind me is going to be hard. I 100 percent believe God allows me to wake up everyday to do this job.
Thanks for sharing...love it
