Let the Sunshine In - what you can expect from 2024 onward

(disclaimer at the end, should you feel already “provoked” by this post! Rants are all my own)

As we stand on the cusp of 2024, a remarkable cosmic event is unfolding above us. Pluto, the planet of transformation and deep change, has begun its transit through Aquarius, a movement that occurs approximately every 248 years and will continue until 2044! Now, dear friends and colleagues on the other side of the pond… that means the last time Pluto was in this sign was 1776! Declaration of Independence, folks!

This rare celestial dance promises a period of profound upheaval and innovation, touching every aspect of our lives from economies to personal ideologies. As we navigate these waters, let's dive into what this means and how we can awaken the warrior within to harness these transformative energies. I've gathered a few of the main points already out there.

The Promises of Pluto in Aquarius for Economies and Businesses:

Innovation and Transformation - Imagine a world where technology leaps forward in bounds we've only dreamed of. Pluto in Aquarius heralds a time of unprecedented innovation, offering us a glimpse into a future where economic paradigms are transformed, and new forms of wealth emerge. It's not just about the money; it's about how we make it, share it, and use it to improve the human condition.

Shifting Power Dynamics - The corporate world is bracing for a shake-up as traditional hierarchies crumble under the weight of Aquarian ideals. Expect to see a rise in cooperative and environmentally sustainable business models, as power is redistributed to promote a more equitable and collaborative work environment. It's the era of the disruptors, the thinkers who dare to dream and do differently.

Ethical Technology - With great power comes great responsibility. As we advance technologically, ethical considerations will take centre stage. The way we handle data, privacy, and the moral implications of AI will shape not just industries but the very fabric of society. It's a call to all would-be entrepreneurs and established businesses alike to innovate responsibly and ethically.

Phew! My head has been spinning, as clearly, all these trends are so very close to what I am supporting in my day-to-day, not only in relation to animal welfare and medical research but also in my “small world,” the one where we can all truly have an impact.

The Promises for Governments and Societies:

Social Reform and Revolution - Pluto in Aquarius doesn't whisper; it roars for change. Governments and societal structures are urged to evolve, embracing reforms that uphold freedom, equality, and human rights. It's a time of social awakening, where activism and movements have the potential to reshape the world map of power and governance.?

Individuality within Community - As we globalise and connect, the balance between individual freedom and collective responsibility becomes more pronounced. This era challenges us to redefine our roles within society, advocating for a world where each unique voice is heard and valued within the greater chorus of humanity.

We can see how the world is demanding social change and reform, we are on the brink of a true revolution, if not because of planetary alignment, it is because we cannot cope any longer with lies, manipulation, misrepresentation, and the arrogance that comes with it.

Yeah, people, we've had enough of “them” … easy to spot. But hold on: THEY would never be able to do what they do without us allowing them – got it? And that’s fine; I know it comes as a shock to realize that we let it all happen. But now it’s time to make it right, one small step at a time.

To show kindness to others that you wish to receive, you need to practice kindness on yourself (just don’t go down ME-ME-ME Avenue, way packed these days, where ethics and morals - and common sense - are stuck in an eternal “traffic jam”!).

Right, after all these “revelations” and clairvoyance, here are 5 simple things you can consider while you edit your New Year's resolution list:

Embracing the Change: 5 Actions to Awaken Your Inner Warrior

1. Educate Yourself: Knowledge is power. Stay informed about technological advancements and societal changes. Understand the implications of these shifts and think critically about how they affect you and the world at large. Read a whole book, front to back, a few times; no one cares if you can parrot back what's on the book sleeve. You won’t fool anyone anymore. Nor we got time or patience to be fooled any longer…

2. Adopt Flexibility: Be ready to adapt. The only constant during this time will be change. Cultivate a mindset that welcomes transformation and views challenges as opportunities for growth and innovation. This is probably the hardest, yet the simplest to address: LET IT / THEM GO.

After you've tried absolutely everything to change something that feels like it is changing you and gone nowhere with it, then stop… let it happen, let them do what they do, stop fighting the wrong fight. As soon as we stop fixating on the “wrong” thing, guess what? We are fine; we are adapting; we gain so much clarity in the direction we need to take.

Many before me said it more eloquently, I am just repeating what I found to be true: Less is More, Let it be (great song), Panta Rei (everything flows), practice Tonglen, sit with it, be like water, follow the path of least resistance…? you’ve got the concept!

3. Foster Community: Connect with others. Share ideas, resources, and support. The power of community is immense in the Age of Aquarius, and together, we can navigate the changes more effectively. Shall I add, it is vitally important for charities and non-profits to self-reflect and realize that often, in pursuit of big money and a stronger brand, we have misappropriated the community, the public of the ISSUE; we splattered some colours and a quirky design on a letterhead and claimed it “our charity,” making it more sellable for the sake of making money.

The issue is IN the community, whichever way you define it. The solution is WITH the community. The future is FOR the community. I have been saying for a long time: brace, brace… for the charity sector is undergoing significant change for the exact reason I mention above.

4. Practice Ethical Decision-Making: In your personal and professional life, make choices that reflect the world you want to live in. Consider the broader impact of your actions and strive to be a force for positive change. Self-explanatory, and so empowering to make that choice yours.

Yet, alongside it, practice support within your own circle or community. If you want to stop being so materialistically attached to everything that money disappears, maybe volunteer for a charity shop, or a recycling centre… go where your decision has a direct impact and that strengthens your commitment to your choice.

5. Cultivate Personal Freedom: Break free from outdated beliefs and habits that no longer serve you. Embrace your unique identity and allow others to do the same. In doing so, you contribute to a more diverse, accepting, and vibrant society.?

I hear some of you wondering if there is too much “personal freedom” out there, with individuals using their unique identity claims to “make a living”. I’d argue they got the first part right, only to fall into the trap of the second, making a living not based on one’s choices, but based on a system based on materialistic rewards.

Gosh, there is plenty in the news and social media of some wonderful, young influencers whose unique identity is really reshaping the world… only to fall flat on Easter Chocolate Eggs and Panettone-Gate (google it) for a marketing gimmick.

What’s most telling is that “Change is coming” – look how quickly this has come to the surface, and how quickly it's getting addressed. We shall see a lot more of these quick karmic turnarounds, so don’t lose faith.

This isn't just a new chapter; it's an entirely new book waiting to be written. And god knows, when you are on the other side of mid-life like me, 20 years of this “underlying influence”, if we take it as “possible”, may be a life-altering opportunity to realign to our true purpose, the main reason each of us may have come to this planet for.
