I have fallen in love so many times. I have had so many love affairs. Unfortunately, most of those love stories came with strings attached. I have always entered every relationship with some conditions. Sometimes they were apparent, and I was conscious of them. Most times, they were hidden, even to me. Buried deep into my unconscious, my heart was never free of the strings of conditional love.

Yes, I am married. And yes, I still have some conditions attached to my current relationship. No matter what I think about it, I have always seen every interaction as a transaction. I am a natural giver. However, being a forgiver is not so natural to me. I hold grudges a lot. That is not always healthy in relations with loved ones, friends, family, or even colleagues.?

Yes, I am working on it.?

I discovered love, true love, four years ago. Then I fell truly in love two years ago again. Yes, you may have guessed it. I have two sons, who are four and two years old.

What is true love??

That question has been haunting me for most of my life. Finally, I am learning the only ingredient of true love. That is unconditional love.

I am discovering unconditional love with my kids. That could be a trick of Mother Nature to help us, Humans, to survive. I don’t know the root of it. I can just say that it is a blessing.

My kids don’t care about my day at work. When I come home, I am at their service. They don’t care about my title at work. They don’t care that I have had meetings all day. They don’t care that my energy bucket is empty for that day.?

I have to surrender my presence to them. And that is the first ingredient of a joyful life.?

1. SURRENDER TO THE UNIVERSE - We spend most of our time-fighting things. However, when we are not fighting what happens to us, we are fighting against the will of Nature.?

Things never happen as you wish. Things happen as they are. It is not about you. The universe does not care about you. It is not personal. That is just the way things are.?

So stop fighting things. Stop fighting other people’s opinions about you. That is none of your business. Stop expecting things always to happen to serve you. Stop and surrender.

Your time here is limited. You and I are just a drop in the ocean compared to the scale of the universe, both in space and time.?

Things have happened before your first scream on this Earth. Likewise, things will happen after my last breath on this planet.

There is nothing we can do about it. So instead of fighting the laws of entropy, you and I should just calm down and breathe.?

Only when we surrender can we awaken to our unity with the universe. We are a note in the symphony of the universe. Only surrender can free us from the weight of our limited power in the face of life.?

2. UNCONDITIONALLY, SURRENDER UNCONDITIONALLY - Sometimes, we get lucky. We often get so fortunate that we can negotiate with the universe.?

We see ourselves as a miracle out of the universe. We think that we are not part of Nature. We let our egos blindside us into thinking that we have no limits.

A kind reminder to you and me: the universe accepts only one kind of surrender. That is an unconditional surrender. You cannot negotiate against life with your wealth, your strength, or your supposed intelligence.?

You are trying to play a finite game with an infinite being. Yes, maybe the universe will not last forever. But compared to our life spans, the universe's existence seems endless.?

Life does not accept bribes. Life does not need you to save planet Earth. Life knows that you will fade away. Your wealth will fade away. This planet will fade away. Our galaxy, the Milky Way, will fade away.?

Just surrender to life without conditions. And life will let its shine be the light guiding your presence. Life will stop time for you and teach you the power of unconditional love. That is to love life as a whole without any conditions.?

3. NOW, SURRENDER UNCONDITIONALLY NOW - Maybe tomorrow, when I will be rich and famous, I will be happy. Maybe when I retire, I will enjoy life to its fullest. You are the foolest of them, the one saying those words.

Tomorrow may never come. There is some paradox in trying to tie our present to future outcomes. That is another way of not surrendering to life. That is trying to outsmart the universe. The universe will happen as it sees fit. It will not happen as you wish.

I will never change. That is the way I have always been. Take it or leave it. Yes, that might work with your Tinder match, as many might (or not) be waiting for you. However, that is different from the way you negotiate with the universe. Your past self is for reference. You should not reside in the past. It is gone. And there is nothing you or we can do about it.?

The present is all we have. Now is where we are both in space and time. There is no escapism about the present. All successful people have always been acting within the realm of their present time.?

There is no better time than now, at least for you and me. Because now is where we live. Now is where I can feel. Now is where we can act. Now is where we can embrace the winds of change. Now is where our loved ones are.?

IN CONCLUSION:

We are all looking for the sun to guide us through the darkness of our universe. We have been looking for that bright star that will let us shine.?

The truth is that we have to breed the SUN within us:

1. Surrender,
2. Unconditionally,
3. Now

No star will shine outside. Only the firefly of our internal sun will glow inside out.?

That firefly is tiny. Yet it can guide us and ground us into our current reality.?

I surrendered to unconditional love the moment I became a father. I am not saying it is the only way to find your internal sun. That is just my way.?

I invite you to look inwards and ask yourself:?

Am I surrendering unconditionally now to life?

I remind myself of that question every day. When I forget, two little angels remind me that I must surrender unconditionally now and with love.?

Now I am falling in love again. I feel an unconditional love for life. And there are no strings attached.
