One of the topics that always comes up when people mention Sales Training is 'overcoming objection' by PROVING a point.
So I always ask clients "Would you love to overcome the client's objection by PROVING what you do really works?"
E.G
And people always say "Yes please I want to PROVE!"
But theres a big problem...
...When you PROVE that 'you are RIGHT', you effectively PROVE the other person is WRONG.
And when you attempt to PROVE the other person WRONG, they will typically DEFEND their corner.
(This is pretty easy to tell as their language becomes DEFENSIVE, their body-language becomes DEFENSIVE and their tone becomes DEFENSIVE).
So, now we have a scenario where YOU are ATTACKING, and your Prospective Client is DEFENDING
CAN YOU SEE THE ISSUE?
So, would I be correct in thinking that your service HELPED clients?
Why then, would you want to create a FIGHT when you are trying to HELP them?
Have you ever tried to help someone that is very DEFENSIVE? It's a Nightmare!
CONCLUSION
