Let Me Introduce Myself: Your Accounting Sidekick

I have other newsletters but for some reason, this feels fresh and new. Like a new beginning to the unknown but something wonderful.

So let me introduce myself and set the scene for what to expect by subscribing to this newsletter.

Hi, I'm Megan. I go by many titles but my favorite is Mom (tho when I hear it 50x in a row I may have a different opinion). I am the solo-Mom to four beautiful children. My incredible 17-year old daughter and my three busy boys who are 11, 5 and 4 (soon to be 6 and 5 - fall birthdays). They are the why behind much of what I do and while it's incredibly difficult raising four kids on your own, I couldn't imagine it being any other way.

Nine and a half years ago, I started my business without realizing what I was signing up for nor how much of a difference it would make to my family and I. The longest story short.... my business gave me freedom. It gave me time freedom, it gave me money freedom and it gave me decision-to-leave-an-abusive-relationship-and-protect-my-kids freedom.

It was able to give (and still give) me that because I learned more about my numbers, how to make decisions by the data, and how to be proactive as a business owner and CEO. I started out as an accountant but I became a business owner. I have grown my business just as my business has grown me and that's what we do here at Sidekick Accounting. We empower owners to do the same thing through support and education on your numbers. Every decision goes back to the numbers whether you realize it or not.

I'll be using this newsletter to share what I've learned to help you level up your business. Whether you're just starting out or have been in business for 10+ years, there are always more things to learn and implement.
