How to overcome the thought: "Let me get this meditation over with…”

We all know this happens. I’ve said it myself. Sometimes when we begin a meditation session we can find ourselves impatient and more focused on our to do list rather than being present with presence itself.?

Here’s a technique to work through the tension that will reward you with an even deeper practice and neural cleansing bliss state.

Ultimately helping you overcome subconscious blocks and ignite more clarity, focus and power in your life.?

This practice is best laying down horizontally. I suggest try without a pillow or anything to support your head. You want to use your body in this practice to help reduce the tensions in your mind. A level body will be easier to release physical tension while moving spinal fluids into your brain necessary for neuroregeneration.?

Instructions:

  1. Lay down, eyes closed, hands by your side, and settle into this step-by-step rhythm. Long slow deep breaths 3-5 seconds in and out through your nose. A consistent circular breath.?
  2. Release the tensions in your body starting with your toes. Release the tension in your calves, thighs, hips, and waist. Release the tension in your stomach, chest, spine, and hands. Work your way up to your head, cheeks, tongue, and eyes. All from the inside out with your eyes closed, long slow deep breaths. By releasing tension in the weight of your body you release tension in your muscles, veins, blood, and molecules. You’re reducing subatomic friction all over your body which includes your brain.
  3. Now the key here is that you are learning to release your ‘attachment to internal chatter’, not that the internal chatter dissolves completely. As you release more and more tension in your body you are entering into a state of somatic surrender. Surrendering your body and breathing eventually into a one consciousness state by reducing the friction in your cells. No expectations for now. Merely be present with what exists even if it’s tense thoughts.?
  4. Now to that negative thought:?“Let me get this meditation over with…” If this thought arises in your experience instead of trying to push it away invite yourself to now use your body and intention to ‘LEAN INTO THE TENSE THOUGHT’. Lean into the tension and your body will provide the stability and resilience to begin to work through it, energetically kneading it like dough. To integrate the tension and not push it away which usually creates more tension and then you hit a wall and give up. Lean into it as if that is the exercise to have your body absorb and alchemize it for you.?
  5. As you lean into it, its power over you begins to dissolve even slightly. You can alchemize the tension within you. To envelop yourself in its heat and texture. To feel into the magnetic pulse of it and dive into its energetic power. It is energy in motion that merely wanted to live its life fully. Now that you’re not pushing it away it can move more freely within your body to integrate any wisdom it may hold for blocks in your life. In time it will inform you of some insight that can help your relationships, goals, career, and self-care.?You are now integrating your shadows not running away from them.?And this will tangibly begin to transform every waking perception of yourself in real-time.

You’re now embodying ALL OF YOU in wholeness, no longer allowing the tension to live inside of you which catalyzes the repeated subconscious patterns you wish to change. You see when you are unconscious of inner tensions this avoidance is what messes with your day, your focus, and your goals. You end up living a day in scarcity why see you didn’t work through the tension in the morning. And scarcity energy never manifests the ambitious goals you desire.?

As you continue this practice over many sessions after you energetically work through the tension you’ll dive into more of a kinesthetic and magnetic amplified state. You’ll tap into more joy and bliss as if working through the tension was the inner work needed all along, no longer unconsciously avoiding it.?
