LET THEIR BE LIGHT!

I'm sure you agree with me that you miss incandescent light bulbs. They were available in so many different configurations, wattages and designs. Sure they didn't last as long as LEDs, but the lighting was superior.

Like so many other things, the governments said good-bye to incandescent bulbs in April 2022 by Biden. The same Biden that wanted EV vehicles to overtake internal combustion (oops, Biden learned Americans don't want EV vehicles) and the same Biden that wanted to ban gas stoves (don't even get me started).

The biggest problem with LED bulbs is that the light emitted from them sucks. The typical LED flood for a kitchen is 65W and casts a yellow tint. Last week I went to Lowe's and thought there had to be a solution. Lo and behold, I found it! GE Ultra Bright LEDs. They are 100W and come in both regular and chandelier bases. And they emit bright white light! Our kitchen is now spectacular and we can actually slice, dice and cook in the light. Our bathroom has been been brighter.

Downside: They are costly. But hey, they last up to 22 years so you never have to replace them for a very long time.

Costco vs. Sam's Club Update:

I learned that Costco prime beef is USDA Prime and that Sam's Club prime beef is imported from Canada. Huge difference. It's just another reason why Costco crushes Sam's Club in virtually every metric.
