Let it Go..!!

Have you ever wondered why is it so difficult to let go and move on... especially if its your loved ones..Has this thought ever crossed your mind..I have been travelling this journey..for the last one year where I lost my strength and inspiration..My Mother..Amma..the most beautiful soul who only wanted to see me happy always in life..

People advice you to move on, I would tell them it’s easier said than done!!

The loss of a loved one leaves a deep endless hole that never fills fully but here are few tips that has helped me heal myself though I’m still “Work in Progress”..

I.????????????????????First of all learn to acknowledge what you are feeling is true – the feeling can be many from sorrow to anger to guilt..of feeling wish I could have spent one more day with this person who mattered so much..shock..to disbelief to helplessness – let all this sink in and go out of your body since you are human and not a machine:)

II.??????????????????I have always known my mother to be a super woman who fought against all odds to create meaningful life for her three daughters when everyone around her felt she can never make it.. when I look back at her inspiring journey of giving a coke of what others have to say about you.. which has only taught me to celebrate her life for the person she was and has made more focused and stronger than ever to make her dreams come true..well I’m sure she is watching me over.

III.????????????????What it also taught me is to take care and focus more on my health since, a loss like this can really take a toll on you.. though it’s ok to feel low at times.. however it is equally important to learn more about – what could have made her stronger and tougher for the cancer..or whichever aliment one has to go through, early detection will always help.. prioritize health over everything else.

IV.???????????????With the void that I suddenly felt since I have seen my mom becoming my fussy child as she grew older;) wondered what to do to escape that feeling..even though for years I collected books from the finest authors, never really devoted my time to read it..but once I started I see the healing process within me since as you read you travel their journey which could have more twists and turns then you ever thought.

V.?????????????????Having said all this there will be situations where none of this may help & you may have to seek expert help, please don’t hesitate to ask even though you may think of the stigma attached – so its Ok not to be Ok.

VI. Last but not the least family & friends can play a huge role in helping you cope, if you allow them to know what you are going through and the help you may need.
