Let Go of the Fear That is Keeping You from Doing That Thing (E43)

Have you ever found yourself wanting to pursue a dream or a passion project, but no matter how much you think about it, you just can't seem to take action? You might be feeling stuck, paralyzed by fear. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Many of us have experienced this at some point in our lives. The good news is that you can overcome this fear and move forward. In this article, I’ll walk you through a step-by-step process to help you uncover and release the fear that’s holding you back.

Step 1: Reflect on the Thing You Really Want to Do

Take a moment to think about that one thing you really want to do. It could be starting a new business, writing a book, or pursuing a passion project. Whatever it is, spend some time reflecting on it. Picture yourself doing this thing and think about why it’s important to you.

Step 2: Notice What That Fear Feels Like

Now that you’ve identified what you want to do, let's dive into the fear that’s holding you back. Fear can take many forms – fear of judgment, fear of failure, or the belief that you’re not good enough. Spend a moment really feeling into this fear. Understanding your fear is the first step to overcoming it.

Step 3: Notice the Physical Sensation of This Fear in Your Body

Our bodies often hold onto fear in different ways. Identify where you feel this fear in your body. Is it a tightness in your chest? A knot in your stomach? A burning in your throat? A sensation of heat all over? A pain in your neck? Allow yourself to fully feel the sensation. Recognizing where fear resides in your body can be incredibly powerful.

Step 4: Notice the Energy Behind the Sensation

Once you’ve located the fear in your body, it’s time to understand the energy behind it. Disconnect from the reason behind the fear and just feel the sensation itself. Observe the powerful energy in your body. This energy shows what a powerful creator you are. From just a thought, you've created this energy in your body.

Step 5: Notice Your Breath and Fully Feel This Sensation

Now, let's use your breath to fully engage with this sensation and begin the healing process. Focus on your breath and fully feel the sensation. The more you feel into the physical sensation that the emotion created, the less power it has over you. Remember, what you can feel, you can heal. This step is crucial for transforming fear into a source of strength.
