Let the Games Begin

October ‘22 is coming to a close and ending on a very exciting note for the VeChainOfficial .

At the start of the month, we published our 17th Financial Executive Report (Apr – June’22) detailing a treasury of $535Million USD, more than adequately positioning the VeChain Foundation to weather global economic headwinds and challenges while making fantastic headway in expanding our team and ecosystem in Europe and Asia.

On the PR front, aside from a global partnership with Ultimate Fighting Championship , we are also silver partners of the #NittoATP Finals in Turin, Italy! We have joined hands with our community project – WorldofV (worldofv.art) and EXplus to deliver the 1st official VeChain Foundation digital collectible collection (Yes, NFTs!).

A Fun and geeky Trivia:Users need not own crypto to own an NFT and fee delegation, a feature on VeChainThor enables enterprises to do this since 2018. For that week in Turin, we’ll also be organizing sustainability workshops on the side, and I can’t wait to meet the team there.

The VeChain Foundation is prioritizing funds to support the UN’s SDGS by supporting sustainability-related projects and initiatives, so, in 2 days’ time, we’ll be supporting #Ambrosetti at the Venice Sustainability Fashion Forum. And to show that we walk the talk, the carbon footprint of all 101 validators will soon be tracked, as well as the carbon footprint of all transactions on VeChainThor(VET) will be visible in our new upcoming web wallet, showcasing VeChainThor’s green credentials.

Since the 20th of Oct., the Foundation began conducting an all-stakeholder vote for a Mainnet upgrade known as PoA2.0. With a majority votes for this upgrade called “Finality with one bit” (FoB), the VeChainThor (VET) protocol, as well as being extremely scalable, gains instant finality - an indispensable attribute for tackling global sustainability challenges.

With the steering committee’s guidance, implementation is expected to be smooth and seamless, so builders can focus on building without worrying about downtime.
