Let it Flop- My First 6 million View Video
Some of your videos will flop. It's just a fact. This is something that I learned right away as I started TikTok two and a half years ago. Knowing this actually helped me create some of my best performing pieces of content.
I don't like when my videos flop, but I have learned to be okay in the discomfort that is seeing one of my pieces not do well.
The reason it is so important to me to be okay with content that gets low views/likes is because if I was scared I would simply never post. I have had to become immune to lame posts. If something I work hard on doesn't pop off, I can still be proud of the work it took to create, learn from it and move on to the next piece.
The same is true for the million view TikToks. I get to celebrate the win, learn from it, and then move on to the next piece.
My most popular video on TikTok has 6,000,000 views, and when I posted it I literally thought nothing of it. I posted it immediately after creating it because I thought it looked cool. I didn't do anything fancy, or hype it up in my mind. I couldn't have cared less if it blew up. And it did.
And of all things it was a video about javelin! I was through the roof with excitement!
If I had been worried about it, or waited, or over thought the video it may have never blown up.
Giving myself freedom to post without harsh expectations for everything to succeeded has made a huge difference as I grow on TikTok.
