Happiness is not settling down to what you have - and never achieve anything beyond that. But it is being in harmony with the present and thrive for success in the future.
Matthieu Richard, a Tibetian Buddhist monk who has been called "The Happiest Man", says, "If your mind is filled with benevolence, passion and solidarity, it is a very healthy state of mind that is conductive to flourishing".
If your mind is filled with positivity and acceptance of who are you today, you can have a positive expectation of who you want to be tomorrow!!
Happiness is that emotion which is not just being joyful BUT, accepting who you are for what you are and where you are today at this moment. This attitude of ours would definetely lead us in the successful path towards a better future.
A child knows nothing beyond being happy, carefree, accepting risks and moving ahead in life accepting failures. As we grow up, we fall prey to competition, comparision, greed, desires and eventually become unhappy about ourselves and our surrounding - thus being in the negative shell. Over the years, we've got covered with layers of stains/ erosion/ negative emotions - Let's make ourselves shine again.
