Let 9W Fly, echoes employees!

Finally 9W (Jet Airways) is grounded and almost all employees are in pain, tears and anger. Here is the compilation of some of the statements and appeals made by the employees.

• An employee who is working since last 12 years said - we have approximate 35000 staff including contractual staff and today all are jobless. Employees from various departments like Certifying Staff, Non-Certifying Staff, Pilots, Commercial, Engineering, Security, Customer Services and all are thrown on the streets.
• Another employee adds "some of us are staying on apartments and it is difficult to pay EMI as our salaries are halted and we don't have money to pay school fees, milk and even books of our children".
• Other one says I have broken my FD account and PF account too. We can't even thin of joining other companies as they are offering us 50% less salary. We are not competent to work anywhere else. Where we will go?
• Vijay Jha who has been associated with Jet Airways since last 22 years said that if we consider direct and indirect employees then the sum will appear as 50000 and equal number of people (50000) are dependent on us. So it is question of 1 Lakh People.
• Madhur said - anticipating non payment of house rent, landlords have asked tenants to vacate their rented houses. Other employee holds a - We Pay Load of Taxes - Do Not Put Us Under The Axe!
• Milinda who is associated with Jet Airways prays an appeal to PMO that we are staying in houses by paying EMI which we are now unable to pay. Please do not snatch our Roti-Kapda-Makan. We pay taxes honestly. We employ others for household work as need to be out at work. We feed others. They, our servants, depend on us. I got married to foreigner and he is not allowed to work in India. Please save us. Give us the reason to vote for you (Mr. Modi).
• Other employee says we are polished professionals. We are best of the best professionals. But allow us to fly. Other employee added GOI released 37000 crores to bail out IX (Air India) and GOI is unable to release 1500 crores to 9W (Jet Airways) which is 25 years old and number one company. Another joins saying where the economy is leading? We are on Ground Zero. 10th May is the new date and we are just told to hold and wait. But what is happening, nobody is responding. We are thrown on roads during the FESTIVAL of DEMOCRACY and where is NYAY now? We won't vote for anyone.
• Another employee said my marriage happened as I was working in Jet Airways, a private leading Aviation Company. What happens next only God Knows!

My personal comments: I wish 9W to fly with shining colors but do not depend on employer (now there is none in present case), bankers, investors, partners, FDI, political interventions and be ready for hard crash and thereafter. It is your life and find ways to deal in turbulent times.

In general everyone should develop one such skill which will act like parachute and keep one flying.
