1. BLIND MEN AND AN ELEPHANT – A PARABLE
There is this story of a group of blind men who have never come across an elephant before, and they can imagine what the elephant is like by touching it. Each blind man feels a different part of the elephant’s body, but only one part, such as the side or the tusk. They then describe the elephant based on their limited experience, and their descriptions of the elephant are different from each other. In some versions of this parable, they suspect that the other person is dishonest and come to blows.
The moral of the story is that humans have a tendency to claim absolute truth based on their limited, subjective experience as they ignore other people’s limited, subjective experiences which may be equally true.
ACTION:??Next time you have a conversation, try to negotiate or have a discussion about an important issue, remember the elephant and maybe ask questions of others that may help you get the outcome you are seeking.
2. YOUR THOUGHTS
"A thought ("I'm not good enough." or similar) is a thought. It is not a fact. It does not define you. A thought is something you?have?not something you?are."?Susan David.
ACTION:?Don’t believe everything you think!

2 年A great reminder BABETTE BENSOUSSAN, MBA like the “one eyed” point of view - one tusk lol.., like also ensuring not to employ just like ourselves.,. Might look like a great idea but we need people with a variety of skills and how they view the world. Another great analogy ????
