Lessons Learnt from One Year Online
I rarely write articles. I prefer creating videos and other form of content. One thing for sure. Its been a tough year. Creating events in person is special.
I don't think online property events will replace live events with exceptions. These include Property Auctions. I was surprised when I heard both Jay Howard and then David Sandeman discuss that several Auction Houses won't return to live events in person.
Being online has given me the option of bringing in International Speakers. Has this really made a difference. Gavin Gallagher has joined us on a number of occassions. I doubt Gavin would have been able to just jump on a flight from Dublin to London for a panel session although Gavin has been able to do this with the help of zoom.
Over the course of the last year I have explored different technologies. We have stayed with zoom. Of course we have looked at new options including Clubhouse.
This Tuesday we recognise the 1 Year Online Anniversary. We welcome Richard Thorpe who will be opening the session, focused on Battle Scars followed by Bond Finance (Bruce Mainwaring) before moving over to Peter Higginbottom and John East.
Peter from Planning Insight will be focusing on the London Plan which has just come out in the last few days. Plus we welcome John East, Head of Land and New Homes at KFH will be giving an update on Land and New Homes.
I will be inviting many of the past speakers/panellists back who have contributed to the year. Of course some key people who have chaired/co-hosted events over the year include Aaron Yahaya, Grace Ballantyne, Jack Jiggens, Jerry Tate and Saam Lowni
