Lessons learned working with 7-, 8-, and 9-figure Executives and Entrepreneurs

Despite considering taking a break (or even stopping) the podcast more times than I can count, we've hit 150 episodes. Reflecting on this milestone as I was putting together this episode made me realize that there isn't an end in sight any time soon—a sentiment I'll explain in future episodes.

Anyway, what better excuse is there to celebrate this milestone than treating it like a mini birthday and an anniversary party all rolled into one?

It's given me the perfect opportunity to look back and chat about some of the incredible lessons we've learned from the amazing leaders, entrepreneurs, and all-around changemakers we've had the pleasure of meeting.

Lesson 1: Riding the Waves of Change

Let's dive into the first big takeaway: resilience. I've worked on and off with someone across various projects and engagements who has had more career pivots than I've had hot dinners - from pro athlete to tech entrepreneur and everything in between. Despite running out of cash and facing setbacks, he stayed cool and kept making smart choices. It's a reminder to stay calm and focus on the facts, especially when things get tough. I'm learning to take rejections in my stride—it's all part of the game.

Lesson 2: Making the Tough Calls

Another gem came from a CEO who turned her nearly-bankrupt NFP into a thriving eight-figure organization. Decision-making was her superpower. She showed me that it's not just about making decisions but how you handle them – with grace, care, and a bit of courage. It's about doing the hard stuff first and not shying away from the uncomfortable.

Lesson 3: Be Uniquely You

Then there's the lesson of originality from a friend who's always a step ahead. She's all about trying new things and breaking the mold, proving that you don't have to follow the crowd to be successful. It's about embracing your unique self and finding your edge, even if it means stepping into the unknown.

Lesson 4: Mastering Communication

Our episodes on communication have hit home for many of you. It's clear that soft skills like building relationships, preparing well, and speaking clearly (minus the jargon) can really set you apart. Listening more than you speak and adding value first can make all the difference in the world.

Lesson 5: Thinking Ahead

Lastly, we've talked about the importance of futures thinking. In a world where we're all under pressure to do more with less, it's crucial to stay flexible and ready to adapt. Success tomorrow might look different than it does today, so we've got to keep our eyes open and be ready to pivot.

So, here we are at episode 150, and what a ride it's been! These lessons have been game-changers, not just for me but hopefully for you too. Here's to the next 150 – more stories, more lessons, and more adventures. Thanks for being on this journey with me. Let's keep the conversation going!
