Lessons Learned & Milestones Achieved

They say to expect the unexpected, but nothing can fully prepare you for every challenge that comes your way. Over the last 90 days, I’ve learned that each challenge is an opportunity—one that shapes our path forward.

Laying the Foundation for 2025

Since stepping into the role of President at LabStats, we’ve made significant progress in setting the foundation for a strong year ahead:

  • Built the 2025 budget
  • Established a marketing strategy to drive growth
  • Expanded the leadership team
  • Solidified the 2025 product roadmap, balancing customer retention and new growth initiatives

All of this has been done with a clear mission: to stay competitive, deliver value, and continue to innovate for our customers.

Momentum in Motion

December was a standout month—a 74% year-over-year increase in new customer acquisition, making it our third-largest new logo month of the year. Given the seasonal nature of EdTech purchasing, this is a huge accomplishment.

We kicked off the new year by hosting our first customer-focused webinar of 2025, marking the beginning of an exciting chapter for LabStats. This year, our product evolution moves from “You can use LabStats to…” to “LabStats informs you…”—helping IT teams quickly identify and take action on what matters most.

With a 62% show rate, we showcased the work our engineering team has been doing behind the scenes—restructuring our backend architecture to enable faster data processing, greater scalability, and more rapid product enhancements. We also provided a sneak peek into our 2025 product roadmap, which was met with enthusiasm and confirmation that we’re addressing the key challenges facing today’s IT leaders.

Our first major release, coming in late February/early March, will tackle one of the biggest pain points in higher ed IT: hardware refresh management. This enhancement will help lean IT teams:

  • Reduce man-hours
  • Cut refresh costs
  • Minimize downtime
  • Simplify computer moves

Looking ahead, in Q2/Q3, we will be launching Alerts and Insights, giving IT teams greater visibility and proactive decision-making tools.

Customer Validation & Internal Alignment

The direction we’re headed is reinforced by the feedback we receive, including messages like this:

"Not entirely topical to the Webinar, but I do want to say that of all the software companies I've interacted with, LabStats customer support has been by far the best, most engaging, friendliest, and most enthusiastic. As far as I'm concerned, you set the benchmark for what customer support should look like."

This is what it’s all about—delivering value, strengthening relationships, and continuing to raise the bar. The service level reminds me of the legendary Joan Maddox!!

Internally, we launched our 2025 LabStats Kickoff, aligning the entire team around our strategic plan and shared goals. Our focus is clear:

  • Improve customer experience
  • Strive for 1% improvement every day
  • Win as One

It’s our time, and WE ARE… LABSTATS.” Up and to the right we go!!

Curious about LabStats?

If you're an IT Leader looking to optimize IT asset management, streamline hardware refreshes, or gain more actionable insights from your data, let’s connect. I’d love to share how LabStats can help.
