1. Pathways to Carbon Neutrality

Our design professionals are leading the way on the path to carbon neutrality, working closely with our institutional partners to help them achieve their sustainability goals.

In a recent article, Principal and Higher Education Design Leader Benjamin Strain AIA, LEED AP, explores our partnership with Swarthmore College and their commitment to reaching carbon neutrality by 2035. As institutions pursue these ambitious targets, designers, engineers, and campus planners face the challenge of creating innovative design solutions that bridge the gap to carbon neutrality while empowering end-users to meet their sustainability objectives.

3. Historic New York Landmark Hotel Unveils Significant Transformation

Royal Sonesta brand's flagship in New York is The Benjamin. Featuring redesigned public spaces, a revamped lobby, and a luxurious renovation of 209 residential-style guestrooms and suites, here’s a look at the transformation.

4. New Leader will Guide DLR Group’s Growth in the Southeast

Leadership transition: after nine years at our firm, Principal and Architect Ronok Nichols, AIA, LEED AP , has taken on the role of Southeast Region Leader.

“Ronok drove transformational growth for our Orlando office, and under her leadership, diverse teams throughout the Southeast will further develop their skills and work together to meet client needs,” says Managing Principal and CEO, Steven McKay AIA, RIBA, LEED AP .

5. APA Honors DLR Group for Advancing Diversity and Social Change

We are honored to receive the American Planning Association Paul Davidoff award for Advancing Diversity and Social Change for our community-driven long-range plan with Austin Independent School District.

As the jury noted, our work “breaks new ground in school planning, offering innovative and replicable solutions for communities facing similar challenges.” With a historic bond passing and dozens of projects prioritized within low-income communities, this is an impactful step forward for the role long-range planning has in shaping our communities.
